This month’s blog theme is Bubbles. I have to admit, I was really looking forward to this one! Not only are bubbles fun to photograph, but I’ve made it my goal to try to use my children in my blog circle images and my kids (like most kids) love bubbles! Of course, when I went to do the pictures, I realized that the bubble guns that we had were simply inadequate. So “date night” with the hubby was “on” and off we went to Toys-R-us for a bubble machine. Try not to be too jealous of my crazy Saturday nights! 😉 Laugh, if you must, but it was worth the trip; the bubble machine was awesome.
The kids had a blast playing in the field and for the first time in ages, lost themselves in the fun and forgot I was even there… well mostly!
The experience pretty much speaks for itself, I will however, take a moment to comment on my middle son who took it upon himself to try to eat the bubbles… over, and over again. I promise I do feed him! He is truly his own, unique character.
We all had a great time, even my husband who works as my assistant when I’m photographing my own kids – my reluctant assistant, I should add. We finished the night off with Popsicles and all three children went to bed with smiles on their faces. It was a lovely way to spend a summer evening. Sometimes we all just need to have a little fun and my bubbles blog theme was the perfect excuse!
Keep clicking through the circle to see the other photographer’s interpretations. Next up is Robin Spalding with Robin Spalding Photography. If you find some images that you love, make sure you leave a comment, you’ll probably make their day and what’s more fun than that! I know I love starting the day having made someone smile.
